On December 28th Justin Mowery lost his life in an on duty vehicle crash while serving the people he cared so much for in Blount County TN.

Justin was loved by everyone who knew him. He had a best friend in everyone and was known as just a great dude. How do we ever try and understand why something like this happens? I don’t know if we ever will.

What we can do is make sure we come together for one another and be grateful for the unwavering service our dearly departed brother devoted his life to.

Justin you had a whole life to live. So much more love to give. So many more lives to impact.

I know you’re saying to us “I”m okay, I’m with the lord now,” but it doesn’t remove the human pain we feel as we prepare to accept the circumstances we cannot change.

My heart hurts for Justin’s family, friends, and co-workers as the enter into this time of so much pain. I wish I could take some of that pain from you to help you during this very difficult time right now.

I pray that you find the strength and the way to get through this and at some point find peace. Justin would not want it any other way.

His love for humanity and life will never be forgotten and now we honor his beautiful soul.

I’m sorry my brother. You deserved more. Tearfully saying goodbye for now.

I travel often and, being heavier than average, I always buy two seats — a window seat and the one beside it — to avoid disturbing anyone. On a recent flight, a woman with a small child stopped by and, without a word, placed her child in the extra seat I had paid for. I calmly told her both seats were mine for personal reasons. Instead of understanding, she began arguing loudly to draw attention. So, I took action — and ended her little scene immediately.
