Hello Facebook friends

Today we tackled the infamous drive leg which has been giving us some trouble. It was time to remove it. A job we have been dreading!

Working in ankle thick mud up to our chests in river water we started by trying to get the transom pins out so we could leave the base plate in place.

However it was not going to happen so we decided to take the whole thing off.

Super glad it's done however we hope we don't sink

Now we will work on changing all the bearings and oil seals this week!

Onwards and upwards for good ship Checkers
