Even highly capable children sometimes struggle with Dhivehi, especially if they're more comfortable with English. They might pick up a Dhivehi book that seems below their reading level, and that's perfectly fine. Children develop at different paces. When they put in the effort to read, reward them with a kind word or a badge. Celebrating small achievements, such as finishing a book or reading aloud confidently, can make children feel proud of their progress and more enthusiastic about the language. The focus should be on making them feel accomplished for their commitment rather than the difficulty of the material.

It's been two years since our debut book was released, and we're so grateful for the love and support it continues to receive.

"Falhugein Libunu Ekuveriyaa" is an inspiring story about a young boy named Yusuf, whose bravery leads him to uncover an essential life lesson about kindness toward animals.

As he embarks on a quest to nurse his new friend back to health, he learns patience, responsibility, and the importance of protecting and treating living creatures with dignity and respect.

This belief drives us to collaborate with talented illustrators who can transform our vision into captivating art. One such gifted illustrator is Mariyam Rafha Abdulla, who worked with us to bring you "Laamaseelu."

Rafha began her illustration career at the age of 16, with her first project being a poignant story about a child's battle against cancer for the Cancer Society of Maldives. This project marked her transition into digital illustration and set the stage for numerous professional and personal projects that followed.

A self-taught artist, Rafha holds a bachelor's degree in Tropical Environmental Biology. Her skills span digital art and animation, and she has a deep passion for traditional mediums like watercolor, clay, and paper. This blend of artistic talent and scientific knowledge is evident in her work, which often draws inspiration from wildlife and the environment.

We're excited for our readers to experience the magic that Rafha has brought to this story. To give you a glimpse into her creative process, we're sharing a time-lapse video of Rafha working on the opening illustration of the book.
