So, after 18 months of recording and convincing ourselves that we had a fantabulous plan, we realized… we did not! Realizing this, we decided to switch from weekly episodes to seasons, for all you listeners who like to binge multiple episodes in one sitting. And wow, there are a lot of you out there, thanks, we appreciate it! We're gonna get the ball rollin’ again with seven super creepy episodes just waiting for you to press play.
But before we go any further we’d like to take this opportunity to thank our listeners for being so patient and tuning back in. And a big fat creepy welcome to our brand new listeners. Get ready to slip back into our dark little corner with us as we delve into this macabre world.

And speaking of dark corners, we’ve added something new to our lineup, a segment called Current Events, Zero Sense, pretty self-explanatory, right? Because let’s be honest, every day there’s at least a dozen cringy headlines that make you stop, think twice, and go… “wait, what?”

We hope everybody is doing well during this holiday season. We have an exciting announcement to share. After 18 months of creating content, and learning the ins and outs of podcasting we are striving to improve with every episode as we have truly fallen in love with our audience and with this incredible journey.

With that in mind, we’ve decided to take a moment to reformat our show. Our focus on true crime, murder, mystery, and things we just can’t wrap our skulls around will not change cuz that’s what we love doing and will continue to do so. But our content release format will change. Reformatting will take some time, but we can’t wait to return and share new episodes with you.

When you finally find that one person in your life that makes you happier than anything else possibly could, it feels AMAZING! Love is a beautiful thing. But love should be something that is shared by two people, never just one. Because when one person invests completely, trusts blindly and loves a black-hearted soul who doesn't love them back… love can become quite dangerous. Who was Ashley Bocanegra? She was a beautiful, young and vibrant 30 year old woman with a 7 year old son whom she loved dearly. Ashley worked at a Floor and Decor store and had worked her way up to manager with a bright future. But after meeting and falling for a co-worker who was in a volatile relationship with another woman, instead of living her best life, she was lured into an ambush and brutally attacked by two ugly and jealous women. These women were so cold-hearted and full of rage that they even recorded their premeditated attack on Ashley so they could show it to the man in the middle of the love triangle and to her job to try to ruin Ashley’s life in any way possible. But they never got the opportunity to get their revenge by showing the video of them viciously beating Ashley and laughing while they were doing it. Because that very day, after being savagely beaten, Ashley would no longer be a threat to anybody.

The Dyatlov Pass incident is indeed one of the most intriguing and chilling mysteries of the 20th century. In 1959, a group of nine experienced hikers led by Igor Dyatlov set out on a trek in the Ural Mountains of Russia, also known as Russia’s Area 51. They never returned, and a search party later discovered their tent, which had been cut open from the inside. The bodies were found scattered in the area, each exhibiting strange injuries that perplexed investigators.

Despite various investigations and numerous theories, the true cause of the Dyatlov Pass incident remains a mystery, fueling ongoing interest and speculation. It's a haunting reminder of how some questions may never be answered, leaving families and communities grappling with unresolved grief and anger.

When I think of matricide, it’s a completely unfathomable crime for most people. Killing your own mother is so dark, but there is a long history of people who have committed this crime and for many different reasons. Some of those reasons include power, succession, and greed. But others kill their mother out of pure insanity, hatred and believe it or not, even love and protection.

This case involves a few of the things we just listed. The murder of Sheila Von Wiese-Mack is very disturbing because this is what can happen when a child is given too much of everything and becomes spoiled rotten. Joel Guy Jr.'s case is a chilling example of how financial dependency can lead to tragic outcomes. After his parents, Joel Sr. and Lisa, decided to cut off their financial support and encourage him to become independent, Joel Jr. felt cornered and resorted to extreme measures.

In a premeditated act, he murdered them in a brutal fashion, dismembering their bodies to conceal the crime. His actions raised questions about mental health, familial relationships, and the consequences of financial enablement. Highlighting the dark side of family dynamics and the potential for violence when individuals feel threatened or rejected. It’s a reminder of the importance of open communication and coping strategies when dealing with life's transitions.
