Greta Thunberg’s Message for Nepal: Climate Justice, Not Charity

World-renowned climate activist Greta Thunberg has spoken out in support of Nepal amid the devastating climate-related disasters.

She says countries like Nepal, which have contributed very little to the global climate crisis, are suffering some of its worst consequences. The growing risks from melting glaciers, floods and climate change cannot simply be ignored as ordinary natural disasters.

Nepal needs Climate Reparations, not just aid. Wealthier countries and major emitters should take responsibility for the damage caused by the climate crisis.

She also called for a stronger voice for vulnerable countries like Nepal in international Climate Summits, where they should not only be discussed as “case studies” but included in the decisions that affect their future.

Nepal is not asking the world to fix a problem it created. It is asking the world to take responsibility for a crisis it helped create.

Justice for Nepal. Climate Justice for the Himalayas

अहिले नेपालमा rescue, relief and recovery efforts जारी छन्।

Rachana Rimal ❤️👇

🙏 PRAY FOR NEPAL 🇳🇵

A massive flash flood and landslide struck Rasuwa on Wednesday, devastating Rasuwagadhi, Timure and Syabrubesi before the flood surged downstream toward the Trishuli River.

🔴 At least 157 people have died and hundreds remain missing, including foreign tourists and pilgrims. Homes, bridges, roads, hydropower projects and border infrastructure have been severely damaged.

🌊 The disaster is believed to have been caused by a massive ice-and-rock collapse/glacial event, though investigations into the exact cause are continuing.

🚁 Rescue teams are working across the affected areas, but difficult terrain and damaged infrastructure are making rescue operations extremely challenging.

Please pray for the victims, those still missing, their families, and the rescue teams. 🙏🇳🇵
