12th June, would have been 1990 Hackney Kestrel and 91 Hawk Dave Hamnettt's 50th birthday. A very popular rider at The Wick.
Dave Hamnett died what he loved doing, racing his YZ250 on the Old Bar flat track in Australia on the 18th November 2006.
Racing into the first corner at the last meeting of the year, Dave highsided, then cartwheeled and his bike landed on him, killing him instantly.
He helped many young riders enjoy the sport.
He left a wife Michelle who would often be seen at The Wick buying photos of ‘her man’ at the track shop and they had two children.

RIP Dave,

stands on top of the podium for the first time in his career over the weekend in the Landshut , and Jack Holder is outright second on the standings, 2 points behind leader Bartosz Zmarzlik, while Jason Doyle sits in outright 3rd place. The SGP is back on the 4th of June at the Marketa Stadium in Prague, Czech Republic 🇨🇿 🏁🏍️💨
