We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) / Mortgage Setup Virtual Assistant with prior experience in mortgage processing or underwriting, preferably from large institutions (e.g., Wells Fargo, Chase, etc.). This role will support our loan officers by working directly within our loan software and digital files to ensure smooth onboarding, document collection, and file preparation.
The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, reliable, and able to draft professional client-facing emails (though no phone interaction with clients is required).
๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฌ:
โข Set up new mortgage loan files in our loan origination systems
โข Manage and organize supporting documentation for loan processing
โข Review and validate borrower documents for completeness and compliance
โข Coordinate with processors, underwriters, and loan officers
โข Draft and send clear, professional emails to clients via our shared inbox
โข Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across all platforms
โข Flag any issues or missing items to the appropriate team members
โข Ensure all systems are updated in a timely manner
๐๐๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ:
โข 2+ years of experience in mortgage processing, underwriting, or LOA roles
โข Prior experience working in Encompass, Calyx, Blend, or similar LOS preferred
โข Familiarity with U.S. mortgage loan products and compliance requirements
โข Experience working with a wide range of loan types, including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, DPA, and other specialized programs
โข Strong written English and ability to communicate clearly via email
โข Highly detail-oriented and organized
โข Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage priorities
โข Comfortable working remotely and using tools like Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace
๐๐ซ๐๐๐๐ซ๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ค๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐:
โข Former mortgage processor or underwriter from a U.S. bank (e.g., Wells Fargo, Chase, etc.)
โข Familiar with TRID, LE/CD, AUS, and standard loan documentation
โข Able to adapt to changes in process and work across multiple systems
๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ & ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง:
โข Hours: 30โ40 hours per week
โข Schedule: U.S. business hours or partial overlap (flexible based on candidate)
โข Compensation Range:
o $850 โ $1,500/month
o Final rate based on experience, speed, and familiarity with systems
