last weekend we got away in the van, it was perfect timing with needing to clear our heads and get some fresh air in the 🫁 some of our clearing head remedies looked a lil bit like this 🧠😌:

🚐going away in our van
🌲nature walks (even hugged a few trees while we were at it)
📖lots of book reading - Morgs is reading onyx storm and I’m on crescent city (slowly coming out of my onyx storm hangover 🫠)
🌊walks by the beach

This week we leave the sunny beaches for good.. (well for awhile at least) And head to country number 16 - Hungary and spend the next 72 hours in Budapest.

What a cool place this is, home to the famous Sziget festival (haven't actually been yet *cries*) but really loved this city and i feel like we saw a hell of a lot in our short amount of time.

We head to Eastern Turkey this week - a place we were actually going to skip due to the recent earthquakes, but after hearing it was all safe, we were straight on that highway!
If history is your thing get watching to see the World's FIRST known temple, Gobeklitepe. Before that, we visit Turkey's Salt Lake near Ankara, go hiking through the Ihlara Valley, sip on turkish cay with our local turkish friend, went to see Mt Nemrut at sunrise, explored the town of Sanliurfa and then stayed at a FREE campsite for a few days in Tarsus.
All before making way to our next adventure road tripping along the Mediterranean Sea. BUT before that, we have a special surprise for you on next week’s episode… has something to do with being in the sky…

This was the week we have been waiting for!!! We take our van, Margi, to CAPPADOCIA!!

We go up in a hot air balloon for the FIRST TIME EVER. But before that, we first arrive in the coolest town ever, Gozleme, and instantly feel like we have been taken to another planet. Throughout our time here, we wake up to see the hot air balloons for 5 mornings straight, wild camp in Love Valley, take on the Love Valley and Rose and Red Valley Hike, explore the Kaymakli Underground City and visit the town Cavusin - making poochie friends along the way.

What a week... we ventured up the top of Turkiye, on the Black Sea Coast...a place that most people would skip - but you shouldn't!! Not only was it good to break up the drive but it showed us parking on the beach in the cute port town of Amasra, swimming with jellyfish in Sinop, walking around the Sumela Monastery, getting a cheap van wash, sipping Safron Cay in Safronbolu, making van made pizzas in Uzungol and staying near Turkiye's version of Mt.Fuji, Mount Erciyes.

All while on the way to one of our top awaited spots - CAPPADOCIA!

THIS WEEKS EP!

Istanbul was the first stop on our Türkiye road trip list and what a crazy amazing start! So crazy, we thought we would explore this HUMONGOUS city on FOOT. No public transport whatsoever.

We spent 5 days exploring the capital city of Turkey on foot, exploring the colourful town of Balat, going inside the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofya, take a boat ride down the The Bosphorus strait, convince ourselves we had walked all the way to the Asia side of Istanbul and go all the way up to the top of the Galata Tower in Karakoy.
