We've been watching The Chosen and I was struck by a thought at church on Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week. Palm Sunday. Jesus knew. He knew what would happen when he went to Jerusalem, when He was celebrated upon His arrival. He knew Judas would betray him. He knew He would be beaten. He knew He would be hung on a cross. He knew.
And He still went. For me. For you. For all of us. I often think about what it must have been like to know the outcome and to feel all the emotions He was feeling. Jesus was fully God and fully man. That means He felt the same things we feel. He was probably scared and nervous and worried. He was probably feeling all kinds of things, but...He. Still. Went.
I will forever be grateful for the sacrifice that He made for me. He went so that my sins would be forgiven, so that I could have everlasting life, so that I could have a relationship with God. And guess what? He went for you, too. No matter what you've done.
If this is the first time you're hearing the Good News of the Gospel and you habe questions, send me a message. I'd love to tell you about my Jesus. If it's not the first time, but you still have questions, send 'em on over!
