So, who is behind GHML now?👀
Hello!
Many of you don't know me yet, but my name is Brett. I am the proud new owner of GHML Gaming. I currently live in the land of Breaking Bad, but I grew up in a small town a couple hours away. Both of my parents were entrepreneurs, so in a way, I'm just trying to be like my Dad. After high school, I went to university to study chemical engineering, mainly to just sound like I was smart. I was passing... thanks to Chegg anyway. Then Covid hit; I stopped going to school and couldn't go back to work. So, I did what most people did and played ALOT of video games lol. I mostly played Madden, 2K, Borderlands, and CoD then one thing led to another and I learned about Warzone tournaments—a chance to make some real money playing video games!
So, I gathered my IRL friends up and told them an adventure awaited us with promises of riches in the end. We registered for our first tournament in July 2020, hosted by Mainland Gaming, with hopes of taking home $5,000+! Come to find out we kinda sucked and placed 50th out of over 100 teams lol humble beginnings. Ever since then, I have been playing in Warzone tournaments. Not only for the chance to win some money but also because it is a competitive outlet and a way to meet people from all over the world. Some of my favorite memories are clutching up in tournaments or competing nonstop with my friends from across the pond. I have played in countless tournaments, represented JTC Gaming, and worked as an admin for GHML during the pandemic. Some of you may know already, but I was a big part of GHML and its success working behind the scenes when Pud was the owner. Being a part of GHML then made me want to bring it back to its best now.
Going forward, with the help of Pud and a few others guiding and helping me out, my first goal is to get GHML back on its feet. Do ghosts have feet? This means regularly hosting 2v2s, TKRs, Customs, and Charity events, with some Multiplayer Tournaments and other surprises later on!
My second goal is to have an open-door policy and gather some community insight. Granted, I know I cannot make everyone happy, but I want you to know that your opinion matters. Any valuable feedback makes the experience better for me and everyone else.
My final goal is to give back. I have always been told you get back what you put out into the world. I know this will be a great platform to do some amazing charity events with everyone's help.
I want to close by saying thank you. Thank you for reading this and giving us a chance to earn your business and trust! Here's to MW3 being the best CoD ever! 🥲
P.S. Stay tuned for a post regarding GHML's first tournament back in over 6 months!
