it’s kinda crazy looking back because I don’t think I realized how much I was changing while it was happening.
for so long I was always doing more. more treatments, more products, always trying to fix something or change something about myself.
then we went through years of infertility and I just started questioning everything. what I was putting in my body, what I was putting on it, what we were using in our home. I started paying attention in a way I never had before.
and slowly I just started peeling things back.
I stopped botox. dissolved my filler. took my implants out. stopped using harsh skincare. stopped feeling like I needed to do all the things.
I just wanted to simplify.
and honestly I think somewhere in all of that I started feeling more like myself again.
that’s really where Verli came from. not because I set out to start a skincare brand. I just wanted really good skincare that felt simple + that I felt good about using every single day.
even the name is literally a piece of us. VERLI comes from the middle of BEVERLIN. 🥹
I wish our story didn’t include infertility. I really do. but I also can’t ignore how much those years changed me. they made me look at my life differently and question things I probably never would have questioned before.
I’m still figuring a lot of it out.
but I know I don’t want more anymore.
I want simpler. I want things that feel good. I want to take care of myself without constantly feeling like I need to fix myself.
and I think that’s probably why this little brand means so much to me.
