Dilksy almost got kicked off P Company jumps course on day one, not for failing the test, but for turning up hungover, smashing kit, and accidentally booting a football straight through a toilet window… right in front of the warrant officers 🤯

Somehow, he blagged his way out of it with the help of a RE lad who could fit a new window before anyone noticed. But the course didn’t get any easier.

On his night jump, Dilksy hit the ground hard and dislocated his knee, kneecap pushed off to the side, canopy wrapped around him, stuck under a glow stick while the medic tried to sort him out.

The British Army has suspended use of its new Ajax armoured vehicles after dozens of soldiers reported severe physical symptoms, including vomiting, shaking, and balance problems, during recent exercises.

The Ministry of Defence confirmed the pause on Tuesday after around 31 troops from the Household Cavalry and Royal Lancers suffered adverse effects during an operation on Salisbury Plain over the weekend. Some soldiers were reportedly shaking so violently they struggled to control their bodies.

Britain’s most senior military leaders have held a tense and “very difficult” meeting over how to rebuild the UK’s armed forces amid rising threats from Russia and China, and growing fears that the Ministry of Defence simply doesn’t have the money to deliver what has been promised 😳

Defence sources confirmed that the chiefs, led by Air Chief Marshal Sir Rich Knighton, are increasingly worried about a widening gap between government ambitions and the reality of the defence budget, despite Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s pledge to fix the country’s “hollowed-out” forces.

Although the Ministry of Defence dismissed a report suggesting the chiefs were preparing an extraordinary joint letter to Defence Secretary John Healey, insiders across the Army, Navy and RAF say frustration is building.

“The SDR shot for the stars, but we only have fuel for the moon,” one source said, referring to June’s Strategic Defence Review.
