At , Disney brought the spirit of their theme CTRL + ALT + LIFT to life - sharing our narratives and lifting the community through connection and real conversations.

The week kicked off with opening remarks from Wendell Scott, SVP, Sales, a powerful main stage session on The Power of Joy and then a Disney Advertising networking reception hosted by Talent Connections. We were honored to have Walt Disney Imagineering’s Carmen Smith with us to accept the ADCOLOR Lifetime Achievement award before we wrapped up the week with the ADCOLOR Awards and Gala, where Disney Advertising’s Danielle Brown shared remarks and Tracy Keller presented an award that evening.

There was no shortage of Disney Magic and we are already looking forward to being back at again next year!

What a Powerful moment at ✨

Anastasia Ali, VP of Inclusive Marketing & Audience Growth, Disney, took the ADCOLOR stage to showcase how Disney is partnering with Creators to redefine storytelling through The Power of Joy platform and shared a behind the scenes view of how the platform was built.
 
She then sat down with Whitney McGowan, Director of Social Media, Onyx Collective, and Actor, Host, Creator, Khleo Thomas for an insightful discussion around the importance of authenticity, fandom, common myths (i.e., it’s not always the number of followers that count but the engagement), and how brands and creators can build strong partnerships together.

Super Bowl champ Russell Wilson, Disney’s Rita Ferro, and David Huntsman of The Huntsman Foundation joined Ad Council CEO Lisa Sherman at Lazard’s Foursquare Conference for a powerful conversation on “Changing the Playbook on Mental Health.” Together, they explored how brands are leveraging sports to create meaningful impact and promote mental well-being.

Rita spotlighted Disney’s ongoing commitment to youth mental health – championed through ESPN’s Take Back Sports campaign, which empowers kids to get back on the field and stay in the game. In partnership with the Ad Council, the leagues, and other collaborators, Disney and ESPN are helping make sports more accessible for every child – because when kids play, they thrive.

🍽️🔥 Disney Advertising and took audiences into the kitchen and dished up the secret recipe behind our incredible partnership with The Bear at the ANA Masters of Marketing Conference in Orlando. 

John Campbell (SVP, Entertainment & Streaming Solutions), Jill Hamilton (VP, Global Media, American Express), and Courtney Storer (Culinary Producer, FX’s The Bear) shared how this partnership has successfully tapped into the cultural phenomenon that one of television’s most talked about series has created to elevate brand perception and drive engagement and results. They also discussed the importance of taking opportunities and investing early in content to build long-standing relationships and affinities that benefit both brands and fans.
