This morning I was finishing up a devotional I’ve been reading and it talked about the armor of God. When I read about girding our waist with truth, the author said, “…the truth is God’s Word, but it has to be imbibed and believed for its life-changing power to work.” 🤯 I looked up imbibe and it means “to absorb or assimilate (ideas or knowledge); (especially of seeds) absorb water into ultramicroscopic spaces or pores.” God immediately showed me headphones and I heard a song I wrote based on Psalm 119:15-16. When we are reading, studying, and meditating on God’s Word consistently, it should be in us at an ultramicroscopic level! We should have a mindset that is willing to absorb it into EVERY part of our lives. Over time, the Word of God will be in us to the point that it’s ‘coming out of our pores’ (our behaviors, actions, mindset, and speech) and affecting all that we touch! The Word of God also drowns out the chatter (lies from the enemy and difficult circumstances) in our life. When you chose Jesus you chose to have a new life and live a new way. Drink God’s Word deeply today. Choose to meditate on His truth daily. Believe God daily.

An FYI to the Believer:

Here’s what I know to be true: No matter what opposition the enemy throws at you to press you and knock you off your feet and out of position, DON’T LET HIM. All he’s showing you is that the promises of God that you’re standing on are getting rooted and settled in your heart and spirit and he HATES that for you! Resist his attempts, reject and denounce his lies, and fix your stance to continue to believe what your Heavenly Father has promised. Period. We will NEVER make a deal with the enemy, we don’t bow to anybody but God, and we will ALWAYS WIN. Continue to stand!

We have to embrace both the good and bad in life: the victories and the lessons (because we learn from our losses), the easy and the difficult. How often do we fight against praying for the places we are in, particularly the unfavorable spaces? Whether we feel like we’re in captivity or bursting forth in freedom, when we discover what God has called us to, we need to cover these spaces and embrace them. God will use you and those things to bring Him glory and increase the Kingdom of God in the world!
