As IndiGo faced massive flight cancellations and delays across major airports, frustrated passengers were seen arguing with ground staff. Reacting to the rising chaos, actors Sonu Sood and Vir Das publicly appealed for calm and compassion.

Sonu Sood shared that even his own family was affected by the delays, but reminded travelers that ground staff are helpless and not responsible for operational failures. He urged people not to vent their anger on employees “who are simply doing their jobs.”

Comedian Vir Das also stepped in, asking passengers to direct their complaints to the airline’s senior management rather than frontline workers. He emphasized that the ground crew is only relaying information, and shouldn’t be targeted during operational disruptions.

Both celebrities used their platforms to highlight the importance of empathy, patience, and respectful behaviour during the ongoing IndiGo crisis.

Simone Tata, a pioneering business leader and one of the most influential figures in India’s beauty and retail industry, passed away at the age of 95 at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after a brief illness. As the mother of Noel Tata and stepmother of the late Ratan Tata, she played a significant role in shaping the Tata legacy beyond industry and into everyday Indian life.

Known as the architect behind Lakmé, Simone Tata transformed it from a modest startup into India’s most iconic cosmetics brand. Later, she laid the foundation for Trent Ltd. and built Westside, which redefined modern fashion retail in the country. Her work extended beyond business—she contributed to several philanthropic organisations, including the Sir Ratan Tata Institute, inspiring many with her warmth, resilience, and visionary leadership.

Her last rites will be held at the Cathedral of the Holy Name Church in Colaba. Simone Tata leaves behind a legacy of innovation, elegance, and compassion that will continue to shape Indian industry and society for generations.

May her soul rest in peace. 🙏
