Happy new year KOB peeps.
I hope you enjoy your celebration tonight.
For me, I’m sitting out here by the fire and will likely be asleep before midnight.
Funny story, I had a brother from the club call me and tell me he wanted to spend new years in Nashville, one of the top 3 places in the country to play. I told him “good luck with that” - $500 a night for a room, over 500k people downtown. Pass.
If you want to hang out with me out in the woods, I’m all about it. But no way I’m going downtown.
That said, 2025 was a s**t show. Here’s to hoping 2026 is better.

A lifetime of service to our nation!
US Army's Lt. General Jody Daniels served as the 34th Chief of Army Reserve and 9th Commanding General from July 28, 2020, to July 30, 2024.

She served for over 40 years and held key commands including the 88th Readiness Division, 87th Army Reserve Support Command, and roles in intelligence and strategic planning.

Her deployments included Operation Joint Guardian in Kosovo as a Civil Affairs operations officer and a tour in Iraq as Chief of Plans and Integration, later Director for Intelligence (J2) for the Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq.

Among her many honors are the Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Combat Action Badge, and multiple Legions of Merit.

Christmas Day and I hope all that celebrate are having a great one.
I’m smoking a turkey, spent the morning cutting up some dead ash trees for firewood, and now watching a Twilight Zone marathon on SYFY whike the turkey smokes.
This makes me think - what’s wrong with the world today? Some of y’all never got enough of the “zone”.
