The southern waterfall circuit in the Atherton Tablelands was such a treat, especially because we got to explore it with our good friends Courts and Keith. Being locals, they knew all the hidden gems and the best routes to each spot, which made the day run smoothly and feel like a real adventure.

We kicked off the day at Millaa Millaa Falls, famous for its stunning scenery and even featured in a well-known Pantene ad. It’s one of those iconic spots that lives up to the hype! Beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for photos or a quick dip. Make sure you keep an eye out for the local turtles and fish here too!

Next up was Zillie Falls, a little more tucked away but equally breathtaking, with powerful cascades surrounded by lush rainforest. From there, we headed to Ellinjaa Falls, where the atmosphere was serene and the walk through the forest made you feel like you’d stepped into another world.

All up, it was a day packed with stunning views, good company, and moments that reminded us why the Atherton Tablelands are so special. If you get the chance, definitely take the southern waterfall circuit slow and savour every stop.

Josephine Falls was absolutely freezing when we got there, and to be honest, it was super busy too. We were more than happy just to explore around rather than take the icy cold plunge, especially since it started raining as soon as we arrived.
Still, the place is stunning and it’s easy to see why people love spending entire days here, relaxing, soaking up the views, and sliding down the smooth rock formations.

There were a few brave kids and adults who couldn’t resist the massive natural rock slide, and honestly, if I wasn’t freezing my butt off, I probably would have joined them.
It looked like so much fun! Clearly, we’ll have to come back here on a warmer day with better weather to really enjoy everything Josephine Falls has to offer.

Even with the chill and the crowds, the beauty of the falls and the surrounding nature made it a memorable stop on our journey.
If you’re passing through, it’s definitely worth a visit!

Have you heard much about Babinda Boulders before?
We hadn’t, and the story behind this place really caught us by surprise. It’s a stunning natural spot, but there’s a dark history that makes it feel eerie. Apparently, 21 people have died here, most of them young men. Knowing that so many lives were lost in such a beautiful location gave us serious chills while we walked around.

The currents and underwater rocks are more dangerous than they look, which is why swimming is strictly prohibited in certain areas. The signs are clear for a reason, and it’s important to respect them if you want to stay safe. It’s heartbreaking to think about the families affected, and it definitely added a layer of respect to our visit.

Even with the heavy history, Babinda Boulders is a place worth seeing for its breathtaking beauty and peaceful atmosphere.
Just remember, it’s not a place to take lightly. If you’re there, soak in the incredible scenery but always be aware of the risks.

Respect the warnings, stay safe, and appreciate this amazing natural wonder for what it is, both beautiful and powerful.

There was a time when I boasted about how many hours I worked.
I wore exhaustion like it was something to be proud of.
Picking up extra shifts, skipping breaks, staying late.

I thought burnout was just part of being dedicated.
But deep down, I was tired of just surviving.

🐱 CATURDAY 🐱

This week, Omega’s been living her best adventure cat life! From daytime strolls to nighttime prowls, she’s been right there exploring with us.
We even took her through some rainforest tracks and, of course, caught her being cheeky and snooping around the car like she owned it.

Back at camp, she’s been the perfect little sidekick while we’ve been working on our online business… except for the part where she insists on walking across our laptop like she’s adding her own ideas to the plan. 😅

I was ticking every box.
Being productive.
Doing the overtime.
Making the money...

And yet, something still felt missing.

I was so busy I didn’t even know what I liked doing anymore.
No time for hobbies.
No space for creativity.
No capacity for connection.

That’s when it hit me. Busy isn’t the same as fulfilled.

Now I protect my time.
I’m building something that aligns with my values.
And even though I still work, I feel lit up by life, not drained by it.

Busy is out.
Balanced and intentional is the goal.
