The BBC Asia series premiered in Taiwan with the first episode, Beneath the Waves, screening on a massive 22-meter Titan Screen at Muvie Cinemas. Watching the footage on such a big screen was quite the experience!
The BBC Earth team also treated the audience to sneak peeks of the tiger sequence and the giant flying squirrel sequence from episodes 4 (Tangled Worlds) and 5 (Crowded Continent). Both were sequences I had the privilege of directing on location in Nepal and Taipei, working alongside phenomenal producers, an exceptionally talented crew, and the amazing production management team at the BBC Natural History Unit. Sitting among the audience and witnessing their reactions to the unique animal behaviours we captured was super rewarding.
This series was four years in the making and would not have been possible without the support of Asia’s leading scientists, photographers, and wildlife experts. Now, we can finally introduce audiences to some incredible Asian species in the most breathtaking locations across the continent. For viewers in the UK, all seven episodes of BBC Asia are now streaming on iPlayer!
BBC Earth 最新紀錄片系列《亞洲》在台灣盛大首映，第一集《海浪之下》於 Muvie Cinemas 22 公尺長的 TITAN 巨幕影廳播放。在這麼壯觀的螢幕上欣賞這些畫面，真是難以忘懷的體驗！
BBC Earth 中文 團隊還為觀眾提前呈現了第四集《交錯的世界》中老虎故事，以及第五集《擁擠的大陸》中大赤鼯鼠的故事。這兩個片段是我有幸在尼泊爾和台北親自執導拍攝的，與卓越的製片人、一支才華橫溢的攝製團隊，以及 BBC 自然歷史部門出色的製作管理團隊共同合作完成。坐在觀眾席中，親眼看到他們對我們捕捉到的獨特動物行為所展現的反應，實在讓人感到非常欣慰。
這部紀錄片系列歷時四年製作，沒有亞洲頂尖老師們、攝影師和野生動物專家的協助是不可能完成的。如今，終於能向觀眾介紹一些令人驚嘆的亞洲物種，以及它們所在的壯麗地點，實在令人感到無比興奮！《亞洲》將於 11 月 17 日起每週日晚間 7 點 55 分在 BBC Earth 頻道播出，首週連播兩集，並同步上架於台灣大哥大 MyVideo 和 HamiVideo。
