Our will be debuting our first solo YPC programming at the 2022 JACL National Convention this Friday, August 5th at 2:00PM PST. It will feature the debut of our first ever live recording session of our with our Co-hosts & Co-Producers, Dylan Mori and Zara Espinoza, who will be in conversation with JACL leaders Floyd Mori & Sheera Tamura about how Enough is Now: Weaving Together Our Intergenerational Stories. The Young Professionals Caucus (YPC) brings you a live session* of the Speaking Nikkei Podcast (SNP) focused on telling our stories to help enact a vision for a better world. Come listen to the SNP hosts, Dylan Mori and Zara Espinoza, along with our guest speakers as they discuss how generations of Asian American people in our community are interconnected and interdependent on each other through our shared yet different life experiences that are key to shaping a collective voice that speaks truth to power.
*This will be a live-recorded event to be featured on the Speaking Nikkei Podcast that will be released after the 2022 JACL Convention. Audio and video clips from the audience, including questions, may be included on our platforms and recordings.
The Speaking Nikkei Podcast (SNP) was created by the Young Professionals Caucus (YPC) of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL). Launched in 2021, the podcast connects, supports and highlights young people of the Japanese/AAPI diaspora as we move through our lives and careers.The YPC is an affinity group within the JACL for self-identifying young professionals with the vision of creating community rooted in healing, professional development, advocacy, and education to navigate adulthood together.
