An Evening with Danny Cohen
Tomorrow 6pm at USS

‘An Evening With’ is a new series of prestigious events delivered throughout the academic year.

This October 16,UEL invites Danny Cohen to share his amazing BBC career journey with an intimate audience. He will be the first of many luminaries, which will include leading names in the arts, politics, business, science, psychology and sport.

Danny has had a fantastic career. He is just 40 years old. His past jobs within the BBC have included Controller of BBC 1, the youngest person ever to hold this post; at 33 he was Controller of BBC 3 and won the Digital Channel of the Year for two of the three years he was its head. Danny also brought us favourites, such as the BAFTA winning Skins and the Inbetweeners (both these landmark series have since been made into movies) when he was at Channel4.

Former UEL student & Oh My Daze's Assistant Editor Daniel de Sosa has just started a Kickstarter Campaign to fund his comic Oi! Tales of Bardic Fury

Every little helps so if you've got a minute, please share it with your friends (and donate if you can - pledges start from just £1) so Dan can turn this great project into a reality!

A fantasy comic about a bard who gets sent to a town in North Ireland that's never heard music before. 120 pages of bardic fury ensues!

Just to let you know that the deadline to enter our competition has been extended to Thursday 9 January.
