Cold favorites from 2025 🩵

Our hike to Steindalsbreen in Lyngen was one of my absolute favorites from our roadtrip to Norway last year. The diverse nature, the surrounding mountains, and the freezing winds from the glacier made it very memorable.

It was not only the glacier itself that was extremely beautiful. Right before you reach the glacier you walk through a valley. The valley is covered in greenery and flowers, surrounded by mountains on every side. Further away you can hear bells from sheep ringing through the air. The peaceful atmosphere was almost difficult to comprehend.

Definitely want to go back to Lyngen alps one day and explore more of its hidden gems! 💎

Beyond the mountains 🤍

Beyond the mountains tops, lays a world unknown for the comfortable. It takes bravery and determination to journey through the vast wilderness. But in the end, it will all be worth it.

From our adventure far in the north of Norway, in Lyngen alps. It was in the end of August, but the snow had already started to settle on the mountain peaks. And as the fog rolled in, it created a beautiful and minimalistic landscape for us to enjoy with both eyes and ears. It was a spectacular view, as well as wonderful sound. It was this roaring sound coming from the glacier, right below the mountain tops. When the wind blew over the ice from the glacier, it was almost like the mountains sang.

Winter in summer? - yes! ❄️

In August we visited the ICEHOTEL 365, which is a hotel and museum where everything is made out of snow and ice. The ICEHOTEL is located far north in Sweden. In a small town called Jukkasjärvi 🤍

It was a pleasure to walk around in our hooded winter capes, and look at all the beautiful sculptures the different artists have made. We didn’t sleep there, but it was absolutely enough to just be there for a few hours and enjoy the art. And yes - we tasted sweet drinks from glasses made of ice too! 🤩

I definitely want to go back here one day, but next time I’ll probably go when it’s winter for real (outside too). Until then, I’ll look back at the sweet memories through the images!

5 places I would rather be right now 🩷

1. Senja. Beautiful, beautiful Senja from the top of Hesten. Right when the sun starts to shine over the mountain peaks.

2. Blåisvatnet, Lyngen alps. Turquoise water, brighter than the summer sky. It almost sounded like the glacier above us sang.

3. Naturum, Laponia. In the Swedish wilderness, where the phone starts to loose connection. A crackling fire, and heartfelt laughters. People that enjoyed their vacation by exploring some of the most beautiful parts of Sweden.

4. Stora Sjöfallet national park. A place with history and beauty. The winds roared and the cloudberries shone.

5. Henningsvær, Lofoten. Pecan pie, and watching the sunset from a cliff. The whole village felt like the true meaning of vacation.

Sometimes I’m content and happy where I am, and some days I long to be in the middle of a great adventure. Today I’m longing to be where the sun shines, wind blows, and nature glows ✨ which one of the places above would you like to be right now?

Autumn days lately 🧡

The last couple of weeks has really rushed by, and it has been difficult to find the time to really get out. So here and there we’ve taken the van out to just breathe in all the crispy autumn air for a short moment.

During the last few weeks I’ve also decided to only work part time from new years and forward. It’s been a growing desire within me to focus more on photographing and writing next year, and I feel very much peace about that decision. It will be an interesting time, but I hope that it will grow to become one of the best years in my life so far.

Until then, me and Jonathan will continue to drive around with the van here and there, work, bake bread, and go to the gym 🍂

Where heaven and earth collide 🌄

Senja is one of the places on earth where it feels like a piece of heaven was planted. Just a tiny seed. That soon grew to become a wonderful reflection of raw beauty.

I loved to be there. And the longing of my heart is to one day come back and explore more of this rugged Norwegian island. Especially in the sunrise, like we did last time.

Toads adventure 🐸

In the middle of the forest path in Skuleskogen National park, this little toad sat peacefully. It seemed to be lost in its own thoughts, then I could sneak up really, really close to it without disturbing its day.

What do think, will he too become a prince one day? 👑

Blåisvatnet - Lyngen alps 🩵

I have never been as high up in Norway, as when we visited this turquoise water amongst misty mountains. Blåisvatnet in Lyngen. The hike to the lake is not the most fun one, then it’s just stone after stone, after stone. But the reward of seeing this gorgeous place was worth it all!

The snow had already started to cover some of the peaks, despite just being in the middle of August. And the cold slowly started to move in, making way for the night. It was a beautiful sight just to sit there and see how the mountains and the blue lake melted together. I couldn’t help to ask myself: how and when did they first find out about this place?

It is so far away from everything, and still, people from all over the world travel to this place in northern Norway, just to see the beauty of nature. And they are not going to get disappointed!

First impressions of Stora Sjöfallet 🩵

It was a windy evening that we finally got to Stora Sjöfallet National Park in northern Sweden. The wind enhanced the rugged beauty of the mountains, lakes and forests. And we were in awe.

The first evening there was both wonderful and peaceful, as we strolled through the bushes and picked blueberries. The hands got all stained with purple, but we didn’t mind. I was surprised at how few people it was in the park. Perhaps most of the people had already traveled back home for the season, and we together with a few others were the ones that embraced a colder vacation.

This national park is definitely one of the ones that I would like to revisit. It got a little bit of everything, or maybe I would say: everything you need for a safe, but also adventurous trip. It takes a long time to get there, but the impressions of the park stay even longer.
