Autumn forest 🍂

I looove autumn. The crisp air, and the vibrant and warm colors that covers the trees. There’s nothing better than either being outdoors during this season, or getting all cozy with some hot tea and a good game indoors 🧡

Today me and Jonathan are both off from work, and the weather was actually nice and warm. So we took our stuff and went out to the forest. Picked berries, found a few chanterelles and smashed a bunch of deer keds. It was a lovely afternoons with other words (except for the bloodthirsty little demons of course).

Frames from a magical morning ✨

It was the first morning of our trip. The day that we should finally leave everything here for a little while, and explore the great unknown. We hadn’t even planned the places we wanted to see, expect that our goal was to maybe reach Lofoten.

It would turn out to be a journey of trust and amazement like never before. We had to trust God with everything. Everything. And we had to trust each other. Trust turned out to be the most wonderful tool to experience the best travel we have ever been apart of so far in our lives. It was like light followed us through each step.

And light it was. Even the first morning. Together with our friend Emelie we watched the first rays from the sun touch the dewy grass, and the cows suddenly woke up from the shadows. Purely magical. So quiet and peaceful. It became the first morning of many, that would make us stand in wonder for a long time.

The creatures of the sea 🧡

As I sat in the sun in Sakrisøy, Lofoten, there was something red floating around in the water. It quietly came closer to us, and the shape of a jellyfish revealed itself.

It was completely alone. Sometimes it swam up to the surface and it almost looked like it played around with the water. These creatures are surely beautiful and cute at a distance! 😍

Henningsvær stadium ⚽️

Finally, I got the picture I’ve wanted to capture for several years. This beautiful football field in the golden sunset, during a lovely day at Lofoten 💛

There was very little wind that day, and people laughed, and had a good time passing a football to each other. Me and Jonathan, we enjoyed pecan pie and other delicious cakes at the cliffs in the sunset. Locally baked in Henningsvær of course 💛

One of my favorite days that I’ve had in Lofoten so far, and I’m so glad that it was spent in this lovely little town.

Till fjälls - to the mountains 🏔️

I love the Swedish mountains. It’s my “The Shire”. The place where golden cloudberries grow, the wind is crisp, and the mountain tops are sprinkled with fresh snow. A place to find rest and solitude.

I’m so glad that I got to visit both Stora Sjöfallet and Abisko National Park during our trip in northern Sweden and Norway. My homeland simply has a lot to offer, and I love to discover more of it. Both of the parks were truly gems.

When it’s that season again 🧡

Every year we do the same thing, pick cloudberries just enough for a jar or two, for the two of us. We don’t need much. Just for a little bit for it to be an exclusive thing to place on the table every now and then.

And this golden berry is one of my absolute favorites. Thats why I keep posting a picture of it every summer, haha. At least. Cloudberries have this sweet and earthy flavor that goes so well together with cheese, or pancakes. For our wedding we had it together with vanilla pannacotta. Yum!

Vanlife and bellflowers 💜

The tangible feeling of freedom to roam wherever we want, hasn’t quite settled in our minds yet. I believe it will take a few days before we realize that the road to adventures are open.

This weekend though, the van took its furthest journey so far with us. We landed somewhere with fog, fiery clouds and fields with flowers. Bright summer days.
