One apple tree is not like the others! Here’s a Wolf River apple (left) next to another medium sized apple from our orchard. That wasn’t even the biggest one on the tree!

Wolf River apple trees are known for their incredibly large apples. In fact, Walt Disney even claimed that his mother would make an entire apple pie from just one.

🥒 Grandma’s Cucumber Salad (with a twist!)

The recipe we look forward to all summer long!

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup oil
1/2 tsp salt
1 tap mustard
1 tsp Italian Good Seasonings dry mix
Cucumbers
Cherry tomatoes (the twist!)

1. Mix up all ingredients but cucumbers and tomatoes.

2. Slice cucumbers and tomatoes and add to the mixture

3. Let it marinade in the fridge for an hour or so, if possible. Hide it in the back corner-you’re not going to want to share!

If you have a bunch of cherry tomatoes, try this!

Toss them with olive oil and garlic salt. Roast at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.

Spread on a toasted piece of sourdough bread and enjoy. Top with some basil if you want! You can thank me later 😉

This was intended to be an appetizer but quickly turned into dinner 😆

If anyone is looking for a way to use their zucchini, we’d suggest trying it air fried! Our kids devoured it.

1 part flour
2 parts Italian bread crumbs
Salt, garlic powder and onion powder to taste.

Cube a large zucchini (make sure to scoop out the seeds). Drizzle with olive oil, then toss the coating on and stir well.

Air fry at 400 degrees until golden brown. I found it depends on how crowded you get the basket 😆 Start with 7 minutes.
