Hernandez was headed east on 180 in a Honda Odyssey around 3 a.m. when he was rear-ended by a fast-moving Dodge Charger, pushed to the right shoulder of the highway and into a tree. The vehicle then burst into flames, according to the California Highway Patrol. Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene. It was not immediately clear why the Dodge struck the Honda, but the driver of the Charger was traveling at a higher rate of speed than the Odyssey when struck, the CHP said.

The driver of the Dodge, a 23-year-old woman, and three passengers were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the CHP said. Alcohol or drug use were not suspected to be a factor in the crash, but the woman was arrested and accused of voluntary manslaughter. The woman also was driving without a license, CHP officer Carlos Trejo said.

TIKTOKER IDENTIFIED AS VICTIM IN CRASH THAT KILLED MOTHER AND DAUGHTER ON W. TIDWELL

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- In one violent crash on Monday afternoon, Tiffany Smith Cofield lost both her mother and sister.

"There will never be a time when I won't miss my mother and my sister. They were my best friends. They were everything," she said through tears.

Cofield said her sister, 35-year-old Britney Murphy, and her mother, 53-year-old Sherie Smith, were killed in a violent crash on West Tidwell. They had just left Cofield's home to go to the Juneteenth celebration in Emancipation Park. Cofield said she was heading home and happened upon it.

"It looked like her car and everybody, when I was walking up, said a mom and daughter died and I knew they had left and knew the only mom and daughter would be my mom and sister," Cofield said.

Cofield told Eyewitness News that a police officer and chaplain prayed over her at the scene.

According to Houston police, the truck hit the mother and daughter's car. Murphy was driving. The investigation is still underway, and no one has been cited or charged

Murphy was a TikTok influencer with the handle . In just four short months, she went from 4,000 followers to more than 400,000. Cofield said she was funny and relatable.

"I was so proud of her," Cofield said.

Cofield is now raising funds for the unexpected funeral costs with a GoFundMe. The two women were her best friends, and Cofield says their lives were far from tragic.

"That's what I want people to remember," she said. "Not the way they died, but the way they lived and the life they loved and who they inspired."

Our Condulance To Family Of Victims..

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — Two people are dead and a toddler critically injured after a head-on collision south of Elk Grove Tuesday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the call came in for an accident on Dillard Road just east of SR-99 around 9:30 p.m.

CHP says its preliminary investigation found a 27-year-old from Ukiah was driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue westbound on Dillard Road. Witnesses told investigators the driver was following too close and making unsafe passing maneuvers

At the same time, a 37-year-old Wilton woman and her toddler were in a 2016 Nissan Altima going eastbound on Dillard Road.

CHP says the driver of the Rogue made an unsafe turning movement and the Altima turned to avoid a crash, but the two cars collided head-on.

Both drivers were killed and pronounced dead at the scene. CHP says the driver of the Altima and her child were properly restrained, while the driver of the Rogue did not appear to be wearing his seatbelt and was possibly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
