Two hundred and fifty years ago, a group of people decided the experience they were living was not the one they were meant to accept.

They believed their rights were not granted by government, but given by God.

-They found the friction.
-They faced it.
-They fought for something better.

What they built was not perfect. It never has been.

But the belief underneath it still matters: that freedom, dignity, opportunity, and the right to pursue a better life should be accessible to everyone.

That is worth celebrating tomorrow.

And worth working toward every day after.

Happy 250th, America.
