ABOUT VASSELL MEKA

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Vassell Meka is a dynamic recording artist, producer, and musician redefining reggae with a fresh global sound. He is the founder of Legacy Mekas Muzik, an independent label launched in 2018 dedicated to uplifting emerging artists and producers.

With formal music education from Edna Manley College and Mico University, Vassell blends traditional Jamaican rhythms with world influences to craft unique, heartfelt music. His debut album The Full Spectrum was Grammy considered for Best Reggae Album 2024, marking a milestone in his growing career.

Vassell Meka also works in special education, supporting children with social and emotional challenges, adding a unique depth to his music career by blending compassion and creativity in all he does.
