As a representative of the Koch (Koch-rajbongshi) community within BTC, his achievement is a matter of pride for all of us. We are confident that his leadership, vision, and dedication will strengthen our collective efforts to uplift the Koch (Koch-rajbongshi) community and preserve our identity.

Happy Indigenous Day to all the indigenous people of Kamtapur (Koch Hajo + Koch Behar) and the world.

On behalf of Koch National Council (KOJAMA), we extend warm greetings to every member of our community and to all indigenous brothers and sisters across the world.

Today is not just a celebration - it is a reminder, to remember our roots, our forefathers, our identity.
No matter what the world calls us - Rajbongsi, Koch-Rajbongshi, or any other name, we must clearly know who we truly are :
We are KOCH.

“Rajbongshi” itself emerged from the anti-caste movement that our ancestors courageously fought in the recent past. But beneath all names, all labels, all distortions, our foundation has always been the same - Koch.

There will always be attempts to divide us using different names, histories, or narratives. But as a community, we must never let anyone divide or weaken us.
Unity is our strength. Identity is our foundation.
And this land, our land, belongs to our ancestors, to us, and to our future generations.

Let us stand united, proud, and rooted in our true identity.

On this Constitution Day, KOJAMA salutes the vision of the framers of the Indian Constitution and reaffirms our commitment to democratic values, social justice and the rights of all indigenous communities, including the Koch people. May the ideals of the Constitution strengthen unity in diversity and inspire us to build a more inclusive and harmonious society. We also honor Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, whose tireless efforts ensured justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity for all citizens. His legacy of fighting caste discrimination and championing fundamental rights continues to inspire generations towards social justice and equality.

গোলকগঞ্জত আমাৰ মানষিৰ উপৰত হোৱা নিৰ্মম আৰক্ষী আক্ৰমণক আমা তীব্ৰ নিন্দা জানাইছুং। এলা স্পষ্ট - চৰকাৰী দল আমাৰ বিপৰীতে আছে আৰু কুনোদিনো আমাৰ দাবী পূৰণ নাকৰে।

যদি আমা নিজেৰ জাতিৰ নেতাক ক্ষমতাত আনিবা নাপাং, তাহালে আমিৰা ইতিহাসত ধন নিয়া বিক্ৰী যাৱা কাপুৰুষ হিচাপে স্মৰণীয় হয়া থাকিমো। সময় আসি গিছে একতাবদ্ধ হয়া আমাৰ অধিকাৰেৰ কাৰণে সংগ্রাম কৰাৰ।

এইটা একটা খুবে দুখজনক ঘটনা। এতে বুজা যায় যে আমাৰ মানষি গিলান কোটোখান তলত নামিয়া গিছে। চাৰ-পাঁচটা টাকা, আৰো দুই টুপ মদেৰ কাৰণে,আমাৰ এই জাতিৰ ৰাজনীতিৰ লগত জড়িত মানষি গিলানে আমাৰ জাতিটাক বিক্ৰি কৰিবা লাগছে।
এই মানষিটাৰ ভাগ্য বেয়া, যে অয় আহিয়া আমাৰ পাল্লাত পৰছে। কিন্তু এৰ পাচিলাত থাকা গিলানেৰ মতন বহুত আছে আমাৰ সমাজত , যাক তোমা সবায় চিনা পাইছ , কিন্তু , বিৰোধিতা নাকৰিয়া , উমি যা কয় তাকে এই মানষি তাৰ মতন কৰিয়া সুনিছ।
কোজামাৰ তৰফ থাকিয়া আমাৰ গোটায় জনগণক অনুৰোধ থাকিল, যে এইবাৰ ভোট নিজেৰ সুবিধা , নিজেৰ ভাল ভাবিয়া নাদেন। এইবাৰেৰ ভোট , নিজেৰ জাতিৰ আত্ম-সন্মান বাচাবাৰ কাৰণে দেন । নাহলে আজীৱন ,সমাজে আমাক ফুটবল বানায়া খেলায়া থাকিবো ,সমাজত আমাৰ মানষিৰ কাথাৰ কোনো মূল্যয় নাথাকিব।

A one day workshop cm awareness program is to be held on this Sunday at Kokrajhar.

Our roots are our strength.

Our unity is our future.

Today, as we join the world in celebrating World Indigenous Day, we also face the reality that our tribe — the Koch people — is fighting to protect its identity. Our language, traditions, and ancestral lands are under constant threat from neglect, assimilation, and displacement.

This is not just our struggle; it is the struggle of many indigenous communities worldwide. But together, we can ensure that our culture does not vanish into history. We will speak our language, honor our traditions, and defend our rights — because losing our identity means losing ourselves.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Everyone Who Joined Us !! 🙏
We are overwhelmed by the incredible response to our workshop held yesterday at the Tufanganj Municipal Hall.

Originally expecting around 50 participants, we were thrilled to see more than 80 passionate members joining us for the awareness program. Your enthusiasm and support for the Koch National Council mean the world to us.

A special shoutout to Mungnem Nwmnwi Koch (General Secretary, Kochbehar District Committee)and Mungnem Jayanta Koch & Ronin Koch (Reception Committee), for their unwavering dedication and for making this event such a grand success.

🕯️ Tribute to Koch Ratna Sibendra Narayan Koch 🕯️
Today, on his death anniversary, the Koch National Council solemnly remembers Sibendra Narayan Koch (21 May 1937 – 11 July 2015) — a visionary leader, scholar, and tireless champion of the Koch people.
Late Sibendra Narayan Koch dedicated his entire life to preserving and promoting the rich history, culture, and identity of the Koch community. As a distinguished lawyer, historian, and legislator, he worked relentlessly to secure constitutional recognition for the Koches and to awaken pride in our heritage. His profound scholarship, captured in his landmark work “Koch Janagosthir Atit Sandhanat Eti Khoj”, continues to guide and inspire generations.
We pay our heartfelt homage to this extraordinary son of the soil, whose intellect, courage, and commitment earned him the title of “Koch Ratna.”
May his legacy continue to light our path as we strive for unity, justice, and the upliftment of our community.

বাঁশ পূজা : প্ৰকৃতিৰ প্ৰতি কৃতজ্ঞতাৰ এক নিৰ্মল উৎসৱ

বাঁশ পূজা (বাৎস পূজা) হৈছে আমাৰ কোচ জনগোষ্ঠীয়ে পালন কৰা এক বিশেষ ধৰ্মীয় আৰো সাংস্কৃতিক আচাৰ। এই পূজাটা মূলতঃ বাঁশৰ উপাসনাক কেন্দ্ৰ কৰিয়া অনুষ্ঠিত হয়, যেই জনজাতিটাৰ দৈনন্দিন জীৱনত আৰু লোকবিশ্বাসত এক গভীৰ তাৎপর্য বহন কৰে ।

* সাংস্কৃতিক আৰো আধ্যাত্মিক অৰ্থ :

আমাৰ কোচগিলানেৰ কাৰণে বাঁশ কেৱল উপযোগী উদ্ভিদ নহয়—ই জীৱনৰ আৰম্ভণিৰ থাকিয়া শেষ পৰ্যন্ত গোটায় খানতে জড়িত । বাঁশৰ লগত জন্ম, বিবাহ, বাসগৃহ, আৰু মৃত্যুৰ নিচিনা সমস্ত পৰ্যায় জড়িত। সেইবাদে, বাঁশক পূজাৰ মাধ্যমেৰে দেৱতাৰ ৰূপত মান্যতা দিৱা হয়। লোকবিশ্বাস অনুসৰি, বাঁশৰ ভিতৰত ঐশ্বৰিক শক্তি বাস কৰে, যিয়ে সমাজক সুৰক্ষা, সৃষ্টিশীলতা আৰো সমৃদ্ধি দে ।

* জনজাতীয়তা আৰো পৰিৱেশ-জ্ঞানৰ প্ৰতীক :
