On today, National Poetry Day, here is a poem about the silliness of worry✌
Do Not Pay The Worry Man.
Do not pay the Worry Man,
With your silvers and your golds,
He can’t protect tomorrow,
And that’s the lie he’s sold.
With rattled tin at night,
He’ll interrupt your slumber,
And despite the brightest sky,
He’ll haunt your sweetest wonder.
The Boys in Blue can’t bar,
His racket and his swindle,
But I know his achilles' heel,
A way to make him dwindle…
Don’t pay a single penny,
Cut-off his supply,
And soon you’ll find the Worry Man
Suddenly says goodbye.
