It’s Week 4 of Friday Night Football, and we’ve got your updated standings and games from around the Triad!
This week promises to deliver plenty of action, hard hits, and highlight moments. One matchup in particular is drawing major attention—our Game of the Week: Mount Tabor vs. West Forsyth.
These two programs have a long-standing history, and with their borderline rivalry, this one’s set to be a must-watch. West Forsyth is coming off another win last week and is looking to stay hot and keep their winning streak alive.
Mount Tabor, meanwhile, enters Week 4 at 0-3, desperate to turn their season around. But don’t sleep on the Spartans—Tabor is never out of the fight. They’ve been known to rise to the occasion, and if West Forsyth thinks this will be an easy win… they might be in for a surprise.

There’s great action across the Triad in Week 4. Another key matchup to keep your eye on is RJ Reynolds vs. Southeast Guilford.
RJ Reynolds has come out of the gate red-hot, starting the season 3-0. They’re looking to move to 4-0 and continue their impressive run. Right now, they’re one of the most exciting teams to watch in the area—my personal favorite so far this season. Let’s see if they can keep it rolling this Friday.

He’s a dog out there!

No Faizon Brandon, no problem. In his 1st ever HS Varsity game, Freshman QB Brody Lowe, stepped in for an injured Faizon and led Grimsley to a 31-17 win over West Forsyth, one of their strongest opponents scheduled for this season. He is poised to keep the offense rolling until Faizon returns

What a Week 1 for JV Football!
The Game of the Week highlights did not disappoint. Mount Tabor came out to make a statement, led by standout freshman QB Teddy Vallos. Teddy set the tone early, scoring the first touchdown of the game and later topping it off with a TD pass.

With playmakers like Chris Carter Jr., Kush, Zayden H., and QJ Hay, Tabor’s JV squad is going to be tough to beat. I’m excited to see how this team continues to develop throughout the season.

Heisman-level talent in the making. Took home the JV Heinemann Award and now looks ready to lead the Spartans under the Friday night lights.

A proven star already. Named varsity starter as a freshman, John is back to make noise in Year 2. Expect fireworks.
