It took me a while to decide to post this image because I knew some might assume I’m flaunting. But honestly, I’m proud of how far I’ve come and what I’ve built, which allows me to reward myself and others. Looking back to when I was 23, I used to envy people who could afford the finer things in life, and now, being able to do so feels like a privilege.

Before anyone has something to say, I run my own business. I work hard to earn what I can and genuinely love what I do. There was a time when I was so broke that I ate apples for dinner every night, and a kind-hearted friend gave me $50 to help me through the week. I’ve done Lalamove, delivery jobs, waitressing, and even worked as a bar girl before getting to where I am today.

So here’s a reminder: Don’t let others bring you down. Live for yourself and for the people you love.

Yes, I still sleep with my sister.
Yes, I take public transport.
Yes, I dine at Kopitiams.

I’m just a regular person like everyone else.

Anna in Paris, this would be by far the best trip I have ever went! I love the conversation that we have and also getting to vibe with so many people. being the funniest person ever that I have met and being herself unapologetically!
