In just over a week we will be back for another episode and this time we are reading The Prison Healer by Lynette Noni, which I am excited to read as it's been on my shelf for years!! If you want to read along we would love to hear what you thought of the book.

QOTD: What is a romance book that you would always recommend?

I promised a post on the book event I attended on our last podcast episode (which, by the way, is live, so go listen), so here it is.

Last weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of travelling to Andover to finally meet the wonderful in person at her book launch for her new novel, This One Life.

You may remember we interviewed her for the podcast way back on episode 10 back in Feb 2022, and we had such a fantastic chat (she also happened to be our first UK author on the show) and I've always kept an eye out on her events and finally she had one near me. This was hosted by the adorable indie bookshop which i highly recommend to visit when you are in Andover.

So on to the event... upon arrival we picked up our homemade cookie (so delicious), tea or coffee (or for the non-tea/coffee drinkers like me, water) and then we took our places at the wonderfully laid table which gave a true English tea party vibe. We also got a delicious scone with clotted cream and jam.

The beginning of the event felt like a live episode of Amanda and Penny's () podcast, with plenty of banter, and then a Q and A from the audience.

We were also given a sneak peak of the new book with a reading from Amanda, and before we knew it, it was time for the book signing. We were absolutely spoilt as we were gifted, not just her current book but also another from her backlist and a child's book she has written (all pictured)

She was just as bubbly and friendly in real life as she was on our podcast, and I can't wait to see what she does next.

And..if you want more Bookish event posts, my amazing cohost is off to the Readers of the Valley book event this weekend where she will be mingling as well as moderating her first panel on sports romance, so if you are at the event make sure you pop by and say hi.

🎙️ New Episode🎙️

Our 50th episode is live! How has it already been 50 episodes! We are just having the most fun - reading books and supporting authors! What else could we ask for?

Author Kevin Wolf joins us for an amazing interview discussing his latest book, Trailridge, which is the first in a new series. The book was a great read and the discussion of the contemporary western mystery was so fun.

We also discuss some upcoming releases, a literary lawsuit and a big name publisher launching an audio imprint. And of course, everything else that you have come to expect from us!
