*GLORIFYING GOD DESPITE VARYING EXPECTATIONS*

In Ezra 3:10-13, a gathering of worshippers have met to celebrate a milestone in the rebuilding of the temple.

In this worship service, two categories of worshippers are gathered
1. Vs 12, _"*old men who had seen the first temple*, wept with a loud voice when the foundation of this temple was laid before their eyes."_
2. V12b, _"Yet *many* shouted aloud for joy,"_

It is not the responsibility of the worship team and worship leader, to meet the expectation of every congregant, but they have a responsibility to ensure that every individual who came to worship God meets Him through the resources that God Himself has freely given and are at their disposal.

Leading Worship is not just leading a set of songs but it calls for skillful awareness and consciousness of what this responsibility demands and executing the relevant arsenal rightfully.

Prayer is a potent weapon for believers in as much as it is a means of communication. Join us today *Wednesday from 4.00pm* during the JustConnect Worship Hour as we discuss more on *CONDUCT DURING PRAYER AND FASTING - CONCENTRATION AND ALERTNESS.*

In today's segment we will be looking at *Developing an atmosphere of concentration & alertness.*

Matthew 6:7 ESV
_“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words."_

Repetition can be a Holy Spirit directed element to enrich our prayer life or vain due to lack of concentration or wanting to sound spiritual or religious.

- *What makes repetition empty?*
- *Are there phrases we adopt in our prayers that are not necessarily prayer-centered but more of borne out of "Kuzoea"?*
- *How does one prepare themselves prior to a prayer time?*
- *How do we silence the noises in our minds that would otherwise distract us in prayer.*
- *What is the impact of alertness and concentration in receiving revelation and guidance during prayer.*

The conversation is not intended to condemn but we enrich one another for effectiveness in our prayer life. With this in mind, we invite constructive feedback so that we can enrich one another.

As the day draws near, we have been trusting and believing God for His provision. Of greater importance is His kingdom which we are encouraged to seek by all means. The moment we have it, everything else that we need will be graciously added, given to us.

- We trust God that the equipment we need for the service of His kingdom will be given to us for effectiveness of the call He has given us.

There are numerous instances and instructions in the Bible where Psalmist *blesses the Lord.*

How is it possible for an individual, a mere man to bless The All Mighty God, Creator of all things?
Yes it's possible,

There are wonderful friends, churches and institutions who have consistently given, committed themselves to always *support the course of JustConnect Worship Festival Ministry*.

*5 DAYS TO GO*

*THE GIVER OF ALL GOOD THINGS*

From the most famous Bible verse, familiar to almost every human being that exists ☺️:

John 3:16
_"*For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world* that He [even] *gave up His only begotten (unique) Son*, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life."_

We understand the value God has towards us. This love triggered an action consistent with it - *giving.*

Giving whatever kind of resource at our disposal *(time, prayers, counsel, material things, finances, skills etc)* is directly proportional to the value one gives to the person, occasion, or relationship targeted.

God values us greatly and therefore _"He has given us all things that pertain to *life and godliness*"_ 2 Peter 1:3

Therefore everything we desire according to His will is accessible to us.

May His grace abound as we continue trusting Him for provision.

*MOUNTAIN MOVING FAITH*

Matthew 17:20
_"He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, *if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed,* you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”_

The beauty of active faith is that you do not need a truck-full of it, but little pinch of it like yeast on dough is able to make mountains move and plains shift.

Mountains, are masses of mostly rocks, situations that require tremendous energy not in moving them physically but surmounting, scaling them. How much more moving them?

It takes the hand of God to move them which is activated by faith. Hebrews 11:6
_"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."_

As we trust God for the provision of resources on 14th December, God is faithful.

Isaiah 58:11

_"And *I will* always *guide* you and *satisfy you with good things.* *I will keep you* strong and well. You will be like a garden that has plenty of water, like a spring of water that never runs dry."_

It is God who makes us to become who we are. He beautified us. He invests Himself, His resourcefulness, abilities and a host of many other things. Him being *The Fountain that never runs dry*, He pours into us when we are *rightfully* connected.

Similarly, every resource needed during the *Café Connect Fundsdrive* He is well able to provide.

Let's trust Him together, He's not only a fountain, but one that never runs out!

*7 DAYS TO GO*

*THE EQUIPER*

Exodus 4:2-4

_"The LORD said unto him, *What [is] that in thine hand?* And he said, *A rod* . And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and *it became a serpent;* and Moses fled from before it. And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand."_

For every ex*****on of God's service, a divine resource supply is available.
God's tasks can be magnanimous to actualized especially when approached from a human mindset. But because they are divine, they require His empowerment.

To actualize the acquisition of the needed equipment, human possibilities alone will fail but *with God Amplifying what is on our hands*, the task is achievable just like feeding 5000 people with two fish and five loaves of bread.

Let us keep trusting and believing God to meet the need.
