This scene made me realize that sometimes, one decision can change everything. Jo was already on her way to take the exam that could change her future. She could've chosen herself that day. She could've continued walking and left everything behind. But the moment she saw Primo lying on the road, she didn't hesitate. She got off the jeep because she knew that, at that moment, he needed her.
But what if hindi siya bumaba? What if she chose to continue and took the exam instead? Would Primo still survive? Or would Jo spend the rest of her life asking herself, "What if I went back?" We'll never know. And maybe that's what makes this scene so painful. Hindi kasi laging binibigay ng buhay ang chance na makita natin kung ano ang mangyayari sa path na hindi natin pinili.
Maybe that's the reality of life. Every choice comes with a sacrifice. Minsan, choosing your dreams means leaving someone behind. Minsan naman, choosing the person you love means letting go of an opportunity you've been waiting for. Walang perfect choice, because every decision has a consequence. At the end of the day, we can only choose with the heart we have at that moment. The rest will always remain a "what if." ❤️
