Not everyone is going to be able to relate here, but when I was a kid, there were certain visitors who my mother would let it be known in advance; the house better be extra clean, and everyone had to be on their best behavior. We might even sit down in the living room, on the very furniture which you were not allowed to sit on at any other time. The sort of guest where my teetotaler parents might casually offer them a glass of w**e like it was totally normal. Well, what we have today feels like that for me because Mike Ladd (Mike Ladd) is that guy when it comes to this indie rap thing of ours; his first album dropped the same year as Funcrusher Plus. He was doing collaborations with experimental jazz musicians when I was still figuring out how to write rhymes. So, please know, Mike Ladd is a guest of honor on this side of things, and that makes it even more exciting to announce his new album Nonechosen will be dropping on Backwoodz Studioz in November of 2026. Preorders are open and we are premiering the first single, too boot!
