๐๐จ๐ง.๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ค๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ก๐๐ง๐ ๐ Born on 14th July 1982 at Itojo-Ntungamo, he's son to Jacob Kafureka the current Mayor of Ntungamo municipal council.
GK. went to Kitunga boarding primary school and St. Mukasa Preparatory Seminary,and later to Kitabi Seminary for his O'level where he was also elected as Deputy Head prefect (DHP), he also went to SMACK (St.Mary's College Kisubi) where he completed his Advanced level and later to Makerere University-Kampala (MUK) where he was awarded a Batchelor's degree in law and later went to law development center (LDC) for additional diploma in law.
At Makerere university he was first elected as Guild Speaker and later elected as Guild President (GP), and after graduating he contested and won the seat of Western Uganda youth Member of Parliament, and as same time working as a Lawyer in Kampala,
Recently, the Uganda law society (ULS) recognised him as one of the best high court lawyers in Uganda!
In 2016,Hon.GK.Karuhanga contested for the Ntungamo municipality Member of Parliament seat against his in-law Hon. Yona Musinguzi and defeated him, although Musinguzi had all the state machinery but he lost!
During the 10th Parliament, Hon. Karuhanga was elected Chairman of APNAC (African Parliamentarians Network against Corruption). He also served as Vice Chairman of Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC), plus other important responsibilities in regard to fighting corruption in the August house, like tabling different motions and presenting them steadily on the floor of Parliament (According to the Hansard of Uganda's 10th Parliament)!

On 15th January 2026 Hon. Gerald K. Karuhanga (an Independent candidate) again trounced badly his in-law who's also the NRM Vice Chairman-Ntungamo district Hon. Yona Musinguzi with a highest percentage!
Hon. GK. Was on 14th May 2026 Sworn in as Member of Parliament for the 12 August house (Parliament of the Republican of Uganda) for his term of office 2026-2031.
Ntungamo municipality community are very proud of having a good and respectable Member of Parliament, knowledgeable, and material, who's is going to work for the development of their town during his new term of office ending May 2031.
