ISLAMABAD: At least a dozen people including journalists’ shoes were stolen from the Parliament House mosque on Friday, ARY News reported.

The worshippers at the mosque could not find their shoes after offering Jumma prayers at the mosque.

Sources said that the security officials responsible for duty of the mosque were absent at the time of the incident.

Meanwhile, the authorities were taking the help of CCTV footage to find the culprit who stole the shoes of a dozen people including journalists.

National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq took notice of the incident and ordered an investigation into the failure of the security officials to ensure the security of the worshippers at the Parliament House mosque.

Joint Secretary for Admin and Sergeant at Arms will conduct the investigation.

A 24-year-old Pakistani citizen was arrested by security forces in Hyderabad India, ARY News reported.

As per details, the Indian media claimed that the Pakistani boy identified as Faiz Muhammad who hails from Bisham Shangla was illegally residing in Hyderabad since November 2022.

His brother Iqbal Hussain said that Faiz Mohammed went to Sharjah for work and married an Indian Muslim woman. They now have a son too.

He said that he lost contact with his brother as his WhatsApp number was not turned off and he came to know about his arrest from the Indian media. Iqbal Hussain requested the government to make efforts for the release of his brother Faiz Muhammad.

Rising actor Samar Abbas Jafri penned a heartfelt tribute to his on-screen father and TV veteran Naumaan Ijaz, after the latest episode of ‘Mayi Ri’.

After the latest episode 19 of ‘Mayi Ri’ aired on Sunday, where Zaheer (Ijaz) breathed his last, Jafri, who essays lead protagonist Fakhir in the play, posted a BTS picture with the former on Instagram.

“I’m honoured and blessed enough to be able to work with him in my first project. I can’t explain the amount of love I have for him () in my heart,” the young actor wrote in the caption.

Jafri added, “He guided me like a father in the first spell when I was super nervous. Our track was about the gaps that exist in father-son relationships. These gaps can be caused by misunderstandings, differences in perspectives or even lack of communication.”

“Try having open and honest conversations with your father. Share your thoughts, feelings, experiences with him and encourage him to do the same. Spend quality time together doing activities you both enjoy. Show appreciation and support to each other before it’s too late,” he urged his fans.

As for ‘Mayi Ri’, the thought-provoking story that revolves around the concept of child marriage, stars Aina Asif and Samar Abbas Jafri in lead roles, along with Naumaan Ijaz, Maria Wasti, Maya Khan, Sajida Syed, Saad Faridi, Amna Malik, Paras Masroor, Usman Mazhar and Diya Mughal.
