One of our struggles when we embrace the Charlotte Mason method in homeschooling is finding living books about our local history, flaura and fauna. 😞
Walang problema pag World History or tungkol sa nature ng America or Europe. Pero pag Pilipinas, limited lang talaga.
Kaya, whenever a parent shares a rare find na book about the Philippines, I tried as much as I could to get our own copy. Try lang kasi hindi naman laging may budget for extra books. 😂.
This one arrives today. Yey! And our homeschooler is already asking if she can free read this. 😅
The book talks about the story of a group of endangered Philippine birds and their plight from captivity to freedom. If you want a book that will introduce your kids to our local birds and pressing environmental issues in a captivating way, I think, this one is worth reading.
I read the first chapter and excited na din akong malaman anong nangyari kay Princess Hornbill. 🤭
This is a chapter book though and not as colorful as those glamorous children's books you see. But you will see illustrations of our birds inside. Anyway, in our homeschool journey, colors are not what we look for in a living book.
Ang tanong ngayon, saan ko kaya ilalagay to sa nag-uumapaw na naming curriculum? 😂 Or payagan ko na lang si K na gawin itong free read? 🤔
