DC Baramulla Leads Pledge; Emphasizes Transparency & Timely Service Delivery

Baramulla, October 27: As part of Vigilance Awareness Week being observed from October 27 to November 2, 2025, a pledge-taking ceremony was today held at Dak Bungalow Baramulla under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Minga Sherpa led the officers and officials in taking the vigilance pledge and highlighted the importance of transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in public service.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the aim of introducing online public services is to bring transparency and ensure the timely implementation of government schemes. He stressed that the root cause of corruption often lies in delays and lack of timely delivery of public services, and emphasized the need for all departments to ensure that public services are delivered to citizens on time.

The DC urged officials to uphold integrity in their work and contribute collectively towards creating a corruption-free and transparent governance system in the district.

Pipping Ceremony Held at District Police Office Kupwara

Kupwara, October 27: A pipping ceremony was held today at District Police Office Kupwara to honour DySPs who successfully completed their probation and assumed new responsibilities.

The ceremony was presided over by SSP Kupwara Shri Al Tahir Gilani (JKPS) along with Addl. SP Shri Syed Javed Ahmad (JKPS). DySPs Raghav Chowdhary, Goldy Sharma, Manisha Kumari, and Shivek Sharma were felicitated on the occasion.

SSP Kupwara congratulated the officers for their dedication and professionalism, and extended best wishes for their future assignments.
