Soul age refers to the feeling that your inner self or soul has a different age than your actual birth age. Some people feel much older or younger than they really are.
"Old souls" often feel much older in spirit than their actual age. At the same time, they possess an innocent wonder of the world that makes them seem younger than their years. They often look younger than their age, almost as if they never age in the physical world.
Old souls may have different interests and perspectives compared to their peers, experiencing life with a depth and wisdom that seems beyond their years. For example, they might enjoy spending time in nature, reading classic literature, or having deep conversations. They are often introverts, preferring solitude where they find a peace not felt in the external world.
The reason old souls feel different is that they tend to have a sense of knowing and understanding about life that goes beyond their personal experiences. They might feel out of place in the world, as though they have lived many lifetimes, or they have an inner wisdom that makes them perceive the world differently from those around them. They see through much of the illusion, dislike superficial relationships, and understand more about life and what makes the universe tick.
Od souls are old in heart and old in soul, but they remain timeless and ageless.
