This week I’m taking a little road trip to Atlanta with my daughter to watch my niece graduate 🎓💛 and this one feels extra special.
A few years ago, I had to miss my oldest niece’s graduation because my life wasn’t steady. Money was tight, my decisions weren’t the best, and I was stuck in situations that kept me from showing up for the people I love. It hurt. I felt like I let my family down again.
But life looks different now.
I’m sober.
I’m stable.
I’m growing.
And I’m finally able to show up the way I always wanted to 🌱✨
This trip isn’t fancy. No hotel, no big spending. But it’s full of things money can’t buy. Hours in the car bonding with my daughter 🚗💬. Watching my niece walk across that stage and chase her dreams. Hugging family I’ve missed so much. And this time, I don’t have to worry about gas money or food. I can even bring gifts. That alone is a blessing.
And of course, the Catty Corner crew will be holding down the fort 😸💛
My cats have seen me through every version of myself — the messy chapters, the healing chapters, and now the comeback chapter. They remind me daily that resilience is real. If they can survive everything life throws at them, so can I.
This trip is proof that growth is real, healing is real, and second chances are real.
Wish us luck. I’ll share pictures when we get back 📸💛
