My Final show of 2025 aired last night on Rhythm FM and is now up on Soundcloud.
A nearly 4hr mix celebrating some of the best releases of the year. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Over the course of this years Radio Shows i have played 450+ new tunes from over 250 artists so to try and do a best of 2025 was a mission.
To make it easier to curate i made myself a rule that an artist could only feature once in the list (excluding vocalists and if the artists tune was being remixed by somebody else - hence DJ Trace appearing twice).
This mix also features some dub pack only releases (Sauce/Break) , older lost tracks that finally saw the light of day this year (Krust) or classics that finally saw a digital release in 2025 (Danny C/ Trace)
Even then, it pains me to leave alot of great tunes out from some amazing artists but i feel there is a fantastic selection here to take you on a journey through some of the best 2025 had to offer.
Starting with some of my favourite liquid tunes, then through wobblers and rollers that i have been playing out in clubs, through to a techy amen assault , before we round it off in the 160 range with some quality Jungle releases.

This Months Producer In Focus is Alex Reece and his work between 1994 and 1997.

Best known for classics Pulp Fiction & Basic Principles on Metalheadz, Alex Reece is regarded as being one of the main innovators of the Jazzstep style of Drum & Bass which this mix is primarily focused on covering both solo releases and collaborations ( Fallen Angels, Unit 1, Jazz Juice and Lunar Funk) as well as remixes he did for others during this time.

Labels featured include Metalheadz, Creative Wax, R & S, Moving Shadow and 4th & Broadway.

To celebrate episode 200 of my Radio Show it had to be a special episode right...?
As Goldie once stated "There are really only two kings of this music; Dillinja & Calibre. Everything in between is us,", so who better to have as this month's Producer in Focus than King Dillinja.
In all honesty i wanted to do this episode earlier, i was just in the process of hunting down a few hard to get tracks that were only available on compilation albums before putting this set together
This 2hr plus mix focuses on the time period between '93 and '95 and covers work as Dillinja and under other aliases (Capone, Trinity, Rups), remixes he did during this period and a few collabs with the late DJ Clarky R.I.P , who sadly passed away a few weeks ago.
To say he was prolific during this time period is a massive understatement - on top of all the stuff that is still only available on Vinyl (for big $$$ on Discogs), there is a heap of his work that has still never been released(there is a whole thread on Dogs on Acid website solely related to unreleased Dillinja tunes!!)
Thankfully due to the hard work of people like Dom & Roland and Deep Jungle/ Dj Harmony quite a few unreleased dubs from the 90's have finally seen the light of day over the last few years, with hopefully more in the future,

This coming Thursday i reach a milestone of 200 episodes of my Drum & Bass Radio Show.
The only weekly radio show dedicated to Drum & Bass in Far North Queensland.
Nearly 4 years of putting together a mix on a weekly basis with not a week missed, even when we have been overseas.
From the first show, my aim has only ever been to share a passion i have had for this music from its inception.
And passion is something you can't fake..
With so many styles and subgenres falling under the 1 Drum & Bass umbrella i wanted to use this platform to showcase what i feel is the best this genre has to offer.
Throughout this 4 year period the show has morphed from a 1 hour to 2 hours, featured guest mixes from other Australian based DJs and now features both a monthly Producer in Focus... and Label in Focus feature episode.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the show, either listening on air or on Soundcloud, for anyone who has reposted. For all DJs who contributed guest mixes and any producers who have sent me tunes to feature on the show.
