You’ve probably heard of gaslighting as a form of emotional abuse, but what about mirroring?🤯

Narcissistic mirroring is serious, scary, and harmful.

It’s when someone gives tons of affection and empathy, acting like they’re passionate about what you’re passionate about, to improve your connection and make it seem deeper than it is.🥹

Narcissists mirror others, especially those who are emotionally vulnerable, in order to knock down any walls. They act like they know exactly what you need in the relationship, and withhold it at certain times to get what they want.❌

This can be in the form of physically copying the way you present yourself, the way you talk, and your actions. It can also come in the form of them claiming that they have been through breakups that you have been through, had the same experiences, tells you all about the crazy ex, and claims to like the same things that you like so you will believe that they are the perfect partner. 🫵🤯

Narcissistic abuse is trauma and can have a huge impact on not just your mental health but physics too!!! 🤯
We battle on treating the symptoms of fibromyalgia, migraines, digestive issues, pain etc etc etc and how many doctors actually try and find the root cause or they just title it “CHRONIC” ie we don’t know the cause so we shall put this word in front of it instead and treat the symptoms.

What is the root cause!!!!!????
Our body is an AMAZING machine and wants to heal but when it’s dealing with past trauma, things can go a bit haywire as our body can be flooded with cortisol causing inflammation, pain and illness.😷

Chronic stress can increase inflammation in the body, and inflammation has been associated with a broad range of illness, including cardiovascular disease and autoimmune diseases. Trauma disrupts the inflammatory system. This can lead to long term issues within our system and chronic health problems are triggered by constant inflammation. Typically, the more trauma you've experienced, the worse your health is.

So HEALING your past trauma is the key to better health. Whether perceived as huge traumas or perception of childhood events because trauma to you is trauma!!! Whether it wouldn’t be to someone else, this is about YOU!! 🫵

Remember, healing from narcissistic abuse is a journey, and managing chronic illness is just one part of that journey. You are strong and resilient, and you deserve to live a life free from abuse and chronic illness.
