~Gilmore Girls & Yale University

I’ve been rewatching G.G. The episodes when Rory starts at Yale give me such cozy vibes.

I had the privilege of attending Yale University’s summer program for Storytelling in Modern Media certification in 2017. It was my very first time living in a dorm. I attended lectures, walked the campus grounds, debated with my professors, and stalked all the shooting locations where was filmed.

I spent countless nights at the library studying, visited the Beinecke Rare Book & manuscript library, and took in all the campus history.

It was a lifelong dream~ one I made come true with thanks to my passion for writing & storytelling. I truly love what I do and how I do it.

Here’s to more dreams coming true (hopefully sooner than later). ✨

Question~

I’m looking to refresh my family room. I have done “little “ updates in various ways to make this home mine instead of ours.

This couch was one pf the first purchases Mike and I made together when we bought this home. So many memories have been created and had on this couch, including when he was sick. He spent a lot of time on this couch.

I went couch shopping but had a bit of anxiety at selling this for a new couch.

To my widowhood tribe, how do you let go of significant things like this to make room for something new?

⤵️ Please comment below. I would love some advice. And if you made significant changes please share, I would love to see how you’re transforming your spaces.

In the United States, there are more than 3 million women widowed! But, of that number, only 12% are under the age of 50. Let that sink in for a minute. That means that 360,000 women in the U.S. are widowed before they ever hit 50 years old. You know what else it means? It means 3 million of us love...

Every once in a while you get a perspective that changes the way you see a certain view of life. Ty Ferrell is not just a cowboy. There's so much more beyond the hat. He's a dad, a farmer, a photographer, a rodeo rider (retired), and an insurance adjuster. He's also single. We aren't talking about "...

There is no training manual for how to move through grief. When you become widowed, there are no guidelines that you can turn to. As adults, our brains want to hold onto grief like a w**d. Constantly growing back, we replay and run through the death over and over again. The brain processes grief dif...
