Finished “Assassin’s Apprentice” for our Book Club! I think the book has more plot than it gets credit for. I enjoyed the peripheral story we get from Fitz’s eyes. The best part for me was the worldbuilding & unique take on the bastard archetype. And great dialogue ofc. Though I wouldn’t recommend this to people who need a faster paced plot or more active protagonists. This book is slower and won’t have that bombastic energy some might want. But character/prose/worldbuilding focused readers might love it. Review coming! 3.75/5

5 ⭐️ — The Poet Empress, released just this year, is amongst my favorite books my unworthy eyes ever did darn see. Words be darn dangin hard when talking about this gem of a book. It’s ‘The Sword of Kaigen’ meets ‘The Emperor’s Soul’ in the best way. Can’t wait to review!
