MY HUSBAND KEPT TAKING OUR KIDS TO "VISIT GRANDMA" — UNTIL ONE DAY, MY DAUGHTER REVEALED IT WAS A LIE

For months, every Saturday, my husband Mike would take our kids, Ava (7) and Ben (5), to visit his mom. He'd grown closer to her since his dad passed, so I didn't question it.

But he never invited me. "It's bonding time," he'd say. "You need a break."

One Saturday, Ava ran back in to grab her jacket. I teased, "Be good at Grandma's!" She paused, giving me a strange look.

"Mommy," she whispered, "Grandma is just a SECRET CODE."

"What do you mean?" I asked, my heart pounding.

I WAS THE ONLY ONE IN MY FAMILY WHO WASN'T INVITED TO MY COUSIN'S WEDDING – WHEN I LEARNED WHY, I LOST IT.

This weekend was my cousin Debra's (22F) wedding. We were close growing up, but drifted apart after she and my siblings left for college. She started dating Brian about a year and a half ago, and since then, she'd been distant with me – still chatty with my siblings, but cold toward me. I figured it was just the age gap.

When the wedding invite came, addressed to our whole family, I assumed I was included, since I still live at home and my siblings both got their own invites.

But at the venue, the moment Debra saw me, her face dropped.

She pulled me aside. "Why did you come? I didn't send you an invitation."

I was stunned. "What? We assumed I was included. Why wasn't I?"

Before she could answer, Brian walked up and said, "Debra said you couldn't make it. I'm glad you're here!"

I'm 37, single, and it's all my mom's fault! She's made my life a HELL! I was sick of her over-the-top "care," but the worst part? She ruined my love life. She scared off EVERY single guy I ever dated. None of them were ever "good enough." But then Theo came along. I felt it — he was the one. So, I didn't want my mom to find out.

I was so excited to find out the gender of our baby! We threw a huge gender reveal party with balloons and flowers, inviting all our friends and family. Still, I had this terrible gut feeling that something would go wrong. Jeez, but I never thought it would be THIS BAD! There was ONLY ONE PERSON who could ruin our special moment—AND SHE DID US DIRTY!!!
