One month in with my attorney client and we're making real progress. On April 15th, page 1 rankings were under 1%. Today we're approaching 10%.
A few things I've learned along the way:
-Keyword strategy takes time. There's genuine trial and error involved in finding the terms that drive real leads. It's part of why local SEO typically takes a few months to show results.
-Landing pages are essential. I use Clearscope, SEMrush, and ChatGPT to draft new pages, then my client reviews everything before it goes live.
-Internal links matter more than people think. They help Google and Bing understand and rank content faster. I diversify the anchor text as much as possible to keep it natural.
-Test different website links on your Google Business Profile. Swapping the destination URL and tracking the impact in SEMrush and Local Falcon can surface ranking opportunities that aren't obvious.
-Local Falcon's AI chatbot is underrated. When rankings aren't moving, I'll describe my scan results to it and ask for opportunities I might be missing. It's a good gut-check.
More updates as the numbers keep climbing.

30 days ago, one of my B2BGEOSEO client’s brand appeared across 14 tracked prompts just 31% of the time. Today, that number has climbed to 51%, with a peak of 55% a couple of days ago.
What matters most here isn’t a perfect straight line upward. Some days will naturally perform better than others. The real signal is the overall trend, a clear before-and-after improvement that shows the strategy is steadily increasing brand visibility inside AI-generated responses.
The goal is to get my client’s brand mentioned earlier in the buying journey, before prospects are actively searching for a specific company.

Most websites treat a lot of their pages like islands.

No links in. No links out. Just floating.

That's why they don't rank.

The fix is one simple rule — the 2-2 rule

"Swamp cooler replacement" caught my eye in the Google Ads report as a term converting well for my HVAC client. So I made it an SEO target too.
After updating their Google Business Profile and website around this keyword, we've grown from ranking on page 1 just 5.79% of the time to 18%, all within a 4-mile radius of their location.
Here's what I changed:
Google Business Profile
Added swamp cooler replacement to their services section with a full description, sourced real photos of the service from my client, and pushed consistent updates around it on the profile.
Website
Rewrote the landing page using Clearscope to capture more keyword variations, updated the title tag and images to better align with the target terms, and built out internal links pointing to the page.
Reviews
My client has been actively collecting reviews that mention this service specifically, which is helping with relevance and rankings.
Still early, but the trajectory is moving in the right direction.

If running ads is a huge part of your marketing strategy, you definitely want to make sure you are getting the most from your investment, and most times, especially when starting out we often do a lot of things that significantly wastes our ads budget, so here are somethings to do to avoid wasting your google ads budget.
First is you want to set your ad schedule wisely. Go to “Ad Schedule” and make sure your ads only run when your audience is likely searching for your products or services.
For example, you can skip weekends and run ads from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays.

Next you want to disable the two ad networks, to do this, head to your campaigns, hover over your campaign, and click the gear icon. Under “Networks,” make sure to disable both ad networks. Leaving these on can drain your budget fast.

Next, check out “Audiences,” then “Keywords and Content.” Make sure your keywords are set to “Phrase Match” instead of “Broad Match.” Broad match can make you spend money on irrelevant searches.

Bonus tip: Don’t stress over your optimization score.
