This particular program is in beta. Don't ask me about the link, cuz I don't remember what it was. It is IOS only, at the moment, but it is fun to play with, at least for now.

I've been listening to a podcast started by a group of teenagers and their political science teacher from Three Oaks Senior High School in Summerside, PEI. If these kids are our future, I'm impressed

Because I wonder these things, I looked to see if there is a patron saint of the internet. Being a weirdo, and a Catholic you should probably know these things, I looked it up. There is. Saint isador of Seville. There's even a prayer that you're supposed to say before you log on to the internet

I just got home from the kidney foundation inspiration dinner. Though I know that it was meant as a tribute to Kerri Wynne McLeod, the speakers made dialysis sound like it was the worst thing in the world. Although they were right about it being hard on the body, and how some days feel like they might be your last, it is not the end of your life nor is it a death sentence. After being on dialysis myself for nearly 20 years, with no end in sight, i don't feel like my days are numbered. I've never put my life on hold because of dialysis. I've been able to travel, I've gone to school, and I've generally lived a very good life with dialysis of being a part of it. I'm not saying that it isn't hard. I'm not saying that some people have real trouble with it, but the majority of us find a balance, as long as we keep a positive attitude. I think that is what was missed with the speakers who spoke at the inspiration dinner tonight. I left there feeling that my years on dialysis didn't really mean much, because of the people who didn't last as long as I have. It's a strange feeling, but I felt like only one side of the story was being told. So I'm telling the other right now.

Update on Episode 2 of my travel pod and a poem

20/07/2023

Yes, I've been a bit of a slacker. I haven't really done much with episode 2 in a few weeks. In my defense, I was in Chicago last week, and since I've got home on Monday all I've really done is sleep. Once the jet lag wears off I will be working on the new episode. Tentative release date is August 22nd.

I figured that it was time to start working on episode two of my disability podcast. So far I've chosen two destinations, I need to decide on one more. This one is taking a bit longer than the last, but I have given myself more time for that. I will say that I have been neglected my duties, and instead playing a lot of video games. I'll try not to do that in future 🙃
