Hey dear friends!

I've recently published a new version of my book Estrellas - Moments of Illumination Along El Camino de Santiago. Unfortunately, when the new version was published, Amazon DELETED all but a couple of reviews of the book! (Don't even ask me how mad I am about that!)

Reviews drive placement in the algorithm, as you probably know, and more eyes means more sales. If you already reviewed Estrellas, will you check to see if your review is there (it's probably not) and if not, can you post another? Pretty please? It's really important, and here's why.

Long story short, the original publisher of the book did not pay their authors (and yours truly) any royalties on any books sold. It's a long, ugly story but ultimately we've had to republish our books and start again... having lost all the money from the sales of the books when they first came out.

Anyway, there's a brand new version of both books out now, with book club guides and podcast interviews!

Thanks in advance.

Suzanne

We all want the same things, to feel safe, happy, healthy and free. Learn how this knowledge teaches us about compassion this week on From Sparks to Light.

“Everyone is looking for the same things,” says Catherine Schweikert, a PhD and Physician Assistant who has spent the past few years researching the profound power of compassion. “We are all in search of what makes us feel safe, happy, healthy and free,” she says. “What that means to me ma...

My brother moved into a new house recently. “It’s a beautiful place,” I said to him, “But it’s going to take a while for it to become a home.”

When we moved into our current house almost 20 years ago, I remember saying the same thing. As I sat on the back porch staring out into the strange landscape in front of me, I thought, “This is a beautiful house, but it’s not a home —at least not yet.”

But what makes a house a home?

I’ve begun a new project where I hope to tackle that issue. What is home? Where do we find home? What does it take to make a home? As I prepare to write what will be my third book, I’m asking for your help. I’d love to know what home means to you. It’s easy enough. Leave you thoughts in the comments. Tell me what home means to you? When you feel at home and why? What you need to make a place a home?
