On October 25, 2025, the Presentation of Mary (PM) family celebrated their 75th Anniversary in the Philippines at Holy Cross College of Calinan (HCCC) campus, honoring the life-long mission of service that began in Siasi, Sulu, on October 26, 1950.
The event gathered PM Sisters from around the world, led by Superior General Mother Maria dos Anjos Alves, PM, along with the General Administration Board, Provincial Superior Sr. Charito B. Gorgonio, PM, and other PM Sisters and novitiates from various provinces.
Festivities began with a lively parade through Calinanโs streets, where PM visitors rode colorfully decorated โumbaks,โ symbolizing joy and gratitude. Upon arrival, they were greeted by the HCCC Marching Band and later toured several themed stations, including a historical exhibit, fruit booths, and a โFiesta sa Nayonโ featuring โlechonโ and other local refreshments including โtuba.โ
The formal program opened with a welcome message from Sr. Charito B. Gorgonio, PM, followed by Sr. Cherie Eloisa Garrote, PM, HCCC President, who introduced the visiting missionaries. A cultural presentation from the Basic Education and College students then depicted the 75-year legacy of the PM Philippine Province through music, dance, and theatre. An audiovisual tribute produced by Mary's Guide Post and HCCC Production Team followed, highlighting the missionariesโ lasting impact.
To honor past missionaries, Sr. Charito Gorgonio, PM, led the Posthumous Awards, while Sr. Cherie Garrote, PM, presented tokens of gratitude to the guests. The celebration concluded with a communal dinner filled with laughter, fellowship, and thanksgiving.
The 75th Anniversary of the Presentation of Mary Sisters in the Philippines served as a powerful reminder of their enduring commitment to faith, education, and serviceโcelebrating the pioneers who began the mission and inspiring the PM Family to continue their legacy of love and dedication to God and humanity.
