Pitching is a whole different skill from writing or illustrating a graphic novel. So here are some tips to keep in mind! The pitch needs to communicate the look and feeling of the story in addition to the story itself. The way you work with your publisher is how they'll assume you'll continue to work with them once you sign, so be professional! But expect the same from them; if they don't treat you kindly, or if you get a weird feeling about them, it's ok to walk away. It's better to take time to find a publisher who will work with you than to publish your work with someone who won't treat you fairly or kindly.

Are your players getting off track? We've all been there. Turns out, you might be accidentally leading them off track with your descriptions. As DMs, what we describe and how much detail we describe it in plays a huge roll in what players will pay attention to. They might be convinced that door is a mimic because you described it in too much detail, or because you barely described it at all.
