DUB EXPERIENCE #5 - 18 OCTOBER | HIGH GROUND, LISBON

For the very first time in Lisbon, straight from Italy, MOA ANBESSA arrives with IMO and PRINCE DAVID on the microphone for a set packed with classics, dubplates, and uplifting vibes.
Active since the early 2000s (with roots going back to the 90s), they are behind true anthems of the roots reggae scene such as “Jah Jah Thank You” and “Watch Dem”, released on their own label and played by sound systems all over the world.

Warming up the session, CC DUB, a producer born in Caracas and now based in Portugal, brings his unique style, where steppas blends with Latin rhythms for an intense sonic journey.

Providing the sound and closing the night in style, MYSTIC FYAH SOUND SYSTEM celebrates 18 years of uninterrupted activity, spreading reggae and dub far and wide.

Lisabon by Bus invites you to dive into Sincretismo – His second EP on Subciety Music. Four instrumental tracks, each paired with its own dub version, take you on a global journey where cultural encounters turn into soulful reggae grooves.

Sincretismo is born at the crossroads of distant worlds: from the Atlantic breezes of Finisterra to the ancient mysticism of Aksum, across the vastness of Eurasia, and up to the heights of Amba Gashen. The EP moves through contrasting soundscapes while keeping a strong identity.

More than just a departure, Sincretismo is about letting rhythms, textures, and echoes reshape you. It celebrates cultural fusion—where reggae meets global sounds in a creative embrace.

“Finisterra,” “Aksum,” “Eurasia,” and “Amba Gashen” are the stops on this imaginary route, each representing a unique sonic destination along this musical voyage.
